16. How would the world be different if your industry didn’t exist? Speculate and ponder. If the Hospital industry didn't exist there would be no strong community to help treat the sick and injured. The hospital industry is the most important industry for human survival. The hospital industry is an industry that will always stay in business considering health care will always be a necessity for our society. Not only is the hospital important as a whole but each person who puts their time in effort into helping in a hospital is what really gives the hospital its strength. Whether its a nurse, a doctor, a nurse assistant, a kitchen worker or a volunteer every helping hand counts when helping this type of industry. Spending many days and hours in a hospital really gives you a complete experience of how much work and different jobs are needed to be fulfilled to make the hospital run smoothly and to make sure everyone is safe. Each unit in the hospital is seen as a small community inside the hospital which is the big community. Everyone works together to give assistance and help to anyone in need whether they are part of the specific unit or the hospital in general. If this industry was non existent I feel our society would be uncivilized and unorderly. nobody would get the proper care and health they need to survive. Our society wouldn't be as strong as a community and there would be many more diseases spread throughout the country, peoples life expectancies would not be as long because nobody would have the complete and proper care like we do today. The hospital industry is truly an important industry especially today with the newest and most improved technology and cures that are out there. 3. What is the general employee attitude at your internship? Are the people driven by their work? Do they seem more interested in socializing/gossiping? Is there an air of respect for the job and the people who do it? Do people see this as “just a job,” and if so, how does this attitude influence their daily tasks within the job? Is this a job whose employees make you want to be a part of it?
