After spending thirteen weeks at Newton Wellesley Hospital, I am constantly learning more and more about my self as a worker. I am constantly willing to help in any way possible, with no hesitation. I am constantly gaining visual experience of proper patient care when assisting the nurses with any tasks that are asked of me. I am also becoming more confidant when interacting with many different people throughout the day. I am a lot more comfortable assisting people with directions to various parts of the hospital considering Newton Wellesley Hospital lay out is not the easiest place to get around in. I have begun to figure out from the experience I am gaining, which departments I enjoy working in and where I think I would enjoy working in the future. My future goal is to become a pediatric nurse but, after spending many weeks in the surgical center I have started to think I would be interested in becoming an RN, working in the postoperative department. The postoperative department is always busy with patients recovering from a variety of different surgeries, constantly giving the nurses something to do, which makes your job more interesting and never boring.
